Our good friend and archaeologist Steven Ellis led a fantastic trip to Pompei today. Well worn grooves in the road pavers from the old wagon wheels were amazing.

  1. Wow. That could never happen today. Every wagon brand would insist on having its own, proprietary wagon track standards totally incompatible with every other system. Then they’d completely “upgrade” them every few years to ensure even there own older model wagons wouldn’t fit. Voila, Wagon track rut problem solved! Silly Romans.

Hope you guys are having an amzing time.

    1. And what were they thinking, building roads to last a long time?

Great to hear from you Todd, all the best to your family!
